A Venetian Masquerade

As soon as I walk out my door, I will begin running around like the proverbial chicken. There's a lot going on. Dad moved back to Michigan on Friday. I'm car shopping, and have a limited budget so it's been a little frustrating trying to find something remotely reliable--and not 3+ hours away, which does me no good. It's rather difficult to shop for a car without owning one at all. So I'm thankful to a friend who has been generously allowing me to borrow his car quite frequently.

Anyhow. There's more, but it either feels too trivial to get into here, or it's too overwhelming and I'll start crying just thinking/writing about it.

For now, I wanted to post this picture that I just received in my email. On Saturday, I went to a benefit dinner, the annual Beaux Arts Ball dinner & auction to raise money for the Academy of Fine Arts, where I work. This year's theme was "A Venetian Masquerade," and masks were encouraged. A local artist donated her time to paint our faces, and it was a smash hit!
