priorities?

A few items in the news.

The first revolves around the reports of the deaths, torture, sodomization and abuse of teens who are thought to be gay (whether or not they are).  In arguably every case, fellow students, teachers and administrators knew of the the abuse but considered it to be unimportant.

The second centers on the plea agreement against a school district which remotely activated laptops to spy upon their students, including attempting to use the images to improperly indict a teen for drug abuse.

The third concerns itself with the proposals to 'reform' education, removing tenure and using test scores as the sole measure of education.

So, the lesson I'm seeing from all this is that, according to school boards and administration:

kids being beaten, raped and killed is OK
spying on kids is OK
Teachers are expendable
education is not important
Test results are the only important measure.

Where are the priorities?
