The Antelope Wife
I'm reading The Antelope Wife by Louise Erdrich and I just finished Part One. And my heart snagged on a hook and tore, because that's how stark, how sad, how simple and accidental it is. This is the first book by Erdrich I've picked up. I'm enjoying, but, gods -- that's a deep wound, right there, where I set the book down to write this post.
