life or journal, such tough decisions

I realized today that it has almost been a month since I journaled last. I think about journaling often and what I will write but never seem to actually sit down in front of my computer and write. Partially because I tend to find other things to do with my time and partially because I just space out ( Read more... )

*gasp* An update! I was beginning to think that your LJ was now defunct. :)

I'm sorry that the boy has not called back. That is very lame of him. Glad that you're doing fairly well otherwise, though. Yay for winter and books and DVDs and textiles and crosswords and all of life's other small joys.

Northwesterners are snobs. I find much amusement in that fact.

Shut up. Maybe my next one will be a little more timely. No promises. Anyways I have called you several times and spent six/seven days with you in the interim.

Slightly disappointing but life goes on. It isn't that big of a deal.

We are just as snobby as the rest of the country but we tend not to admit it. And think their is also a sense of self-rightousness involved in it.

True. I'm not complaining about a lack of communication. Just razzing you about one of your weaker points.

Goodness, you sound so well-adjusted. I'm glad you feel that way.

Oh, definitely, what with your environmental conscientiousness and political liberality and Birkenstocks and independent coffee houses and thriving arts scene.... Self-righteousness with a sense of entitlement. It's a deadly combination.

I'm not sure well-adjusted is the right word but what can one do? I was in a contented mood yesterday.

'Tis horrible isn't it? I am so damn proud of being an Oregonian but I try really hard not to be like the above mentioned.

*laugh* I'm not sure it's the right word, either, but after five minutes of futilely badgering my brain for an accurate descriptor, I had to settle for the approximation.

Well, I'd be an Oregonian if I could, so who am I to criticize? I am convinced that I am a Northwesterner at heart, despite what my geographical origins say.
