The station that I do my weekly news show got canceled today.
There is no longer an 88.1 in Lubbock TX.
No more Evolution, no more Metropolis, no more KTXT shows. It's all gone.
I'm shaking at work.
One of the saving graces of Lubbock has been lost, forever maybe.
Because the Student Media offices say we don't bring in enough money for what they put in.
I'm taking a personal day on Friday. I would take it tomorrow but someone else has already beat me to the punch and I can't leave Margie here alone.
This is how my friends met each other. This is how Metropolis was formed.
This is the backbone of my social circle.
And it's just gone.
