haiku

The dried wakame
is now like black sesame--
all over my floor.

misuraru* ga
fueru wakame wo
tabechatta.

moshi neko ga
kore wo tabettara
shinjau no?

*mythral--my idiot cat.

(translations of the above haiku)
Uh, oh...Mythral ate the dried seaweed.

If a cat eats this...will it die?

misuraru ga
fueta wakame wo
tabechatta
(the tta counts as two syllables)

moshi neko ga
kore wo tabettara
shinjau no?

(taberu in 'tara' form is 'tabettara' I think. and shinjaimasuka is 7 syllables, so shinjau + no (more natural form of question) sounds better, I think.

He should be fine. Are you gonna bring your cats with you to Japan?

hahaha thanks for the corrections. I was thinking spoken syllables instead of written ones, so I tried to make it fit that way instead of using the natural-sounding one. Unfortunately, no. My cats are not coming with me to Japan. :( My brother is taking Myth, and Bear is becoming an outdoor cat at the farm.
