Plot Bunny Babble...
My babble... only read if you're in a particularly masochistic mood!
The whole DD fic started because Eclipse is sexy cool as all hell, and I really wanted more from the manga. So I wandered into Meph world, adjusted Raef's character (and changed his name because I can’t pronounce Raenef comfortable in my head), fleshed out the Demon world mythos, threw in a handful of new characters, and a touch more angst... I kept with much of the same story line, but recently the characters have been talking over. Chris has become slightly infatuated with Eutrus, when Raef ran away he didn't want to go to his home city (Okay that could be because I had Eclipse destroy it after finding out about Raef's past), but Eclipse went there with Eutrus only to find these two adorable little orphan kids who Raef used to protect. Eclipse had a rare moment of insanity and the end result was the kids were brought to the house. And now they are being so cute that I don't want to get rid of them... And since Eclipse his still having 'he is my master, I must not, can not (Scrumplikebunnies)' moments, the tension is wearing on me, so he now has a peer to talk to. And of course that means Raef gets another demon lord who will finally be able to expose a lot of Eclipse's weird behaviors and EXPLAIN them! I really disliked the whole problem with Raef's predecessor, so I'm using the demon lords I've created to make a proper villain. Yummy! A chance for Eclipse, Raef, and their friends to really do some damage!
So the problem is that I’ve changed the story so much that people who liked the original manga won’t like it, and the people who don’t know the manga won’t get it. Grrr! Usually this doesn’t bother me. I’ll work on something for months with no intention of letting anyone else read it, but I want to post this fic. Why? Because I really wish that someone else would take a look at it and start writing for DD. Am I selfish, of course… Am I silly, undoubtedly… Should I post it and pray? … … …
This writing to get other people to write for me has worked before with Sorcerer Hunters… It worked very well actually. Hmmm….
