So here I sit.

Nice and cozy I sit thinking of what to do for the next 40 minutes before I have to pass out for the evening. The golden globes are on the tube. I'm not really watching them, but they are on. I haven't watched an award show seriously for some time. I use to be a junkie. I'd stay up to watch the after party coverage. I mean the awards are over, the only thing the stars are doing is getting lit. But there I watched. But with the growing fascination of what a celebrity is I've gotten disgusted with all this so called coverage. I mean they have shows dedicated to showing celebrities without make-up. Who gives a fuck? These past weeks with celebrinews of paprazzi smashing into cars with celebrities in them. Do we need to have these photos so bad that you have to crash a car into them? I know on some level people love it. The ladies at work are always reading and talking about every little detail published about any celebrity that is rising or falling. It just these base human needs to be a part of something larger than who we are. It has always bothered me to see our infatuation with fame.

On a better note I watched a bunch of movies this weekend. First I watched "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". The action was good but the story lacked a lot. After that I watched "Wedding Crashers". What a HILARIOUS movie. It was funny that just Saturday I was talking to a friend about how Vince Vaughn's performance in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" was par for the course. It was like he didn't really have any range. But put him in the right environment, like "Wedding Crashers" and he shines. This is probably one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. Next after that was "The 40 year old Virgin". Now as much as I'd like to say that Steve Correll was the best part of the movie I have to say he wasn't. The supporting cast in this movie is the best. Don't get me wrong, He is good. It wouldn't have been as good without him. I recommend the last two of these if your in the mood for a good laugh. Oh, and I watched the Fantastic Four last week. Umm, well if you ahve small kids that like cmoic books I'm sure it'll go over well, or if you like cheesy 80's formula films then please rent it. I mean I haven't seen a rock music montage, seriously in a film in quite a while.

Ok I've babbled on long enough. So here I'll sit and watch Ang Lee give his acceptance speech for Best Director for "The Gay Cowboy" movie. Not that, that is a bad thing. :P

Take care all!
