I <3 U More Each Day...

As I discover a little extra this and a little extra that, I can't help but fall in love with my Jeep somemore...

As some would know, Melbourne has been experiencing MAD weather..! Thunderstorms/heavy downpours/floods in summer..!

For once, I went out and drove in the wet dark surroundings and actually felt pretty safe and much less worried..!
You see... first of all, having this taller-than-average car naturally made the water seem lower so splashing-leading-to-momentarily-blindness wasn't an issue. Moreover, with brand new wipers, having a clear screen to look out of wasn't a problem either!

Then, the best thing were the lights,, the fact that they were much brighter than my previous car's and the fact that it (the Jeep) had fog lights which allowed me to select the level at which I wanted them to point..(!!!)
This meant that I was able to adjust it to point to the lowest possible (onto the road) so that I was able to see the roadlines/guidelines even with the horrendous rain.

Then of 'cos it was the fact that it had proper heating which didn't get too warm, didn't let the windows get fogged up, and during more humid times it actually had an air-conditioner to keep things nice and comfy!

Oh and yes of course, with a pretty good sound system and firm comfy seats which actually has heaters on them... there's nothing for me to complain..! lmao

This Jeep is amazing -- the amount of storage space is incredible! I just love the way the back seats come down..!

Just spent some time pulling a couple of things for the Jeep too..
Felt that with such a large boot, it's hard to place ones shopping/groceries without having it spill all over the place or roll from side to side over the course of the drive!
So, adopting mum's 'morning marketing practice', I bought 2 large (71litres) tuff crates to place at the back of the Jeep!
Didn't want those with wheels as they would move too much. At the same time I didn't wan the boot floor surface to suffer wear and tear from the carrier/crates so I bought rubber stoppers (those usually meant to be screwed onto each foot of a chair) and manually drilled them into the four corners of the crates!

Both crates now sit very comfortably (fitting purrfectly) in the back of my boot =D

That aside... I FINALLY GOT A GPS Navigator!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been pining for one for the longest time but never have enough $$ to get one.
Eversince I managed to fix my o2 and started using it again, I was even contemplating getting a GPS bluetooth receiver just so I could use my o2 atom pure as a navigating devise as well (as a last resort!)

Then, it just so happened that the sudden competition in the wireless/mobile broadband market had recently taken flight and some really great plans were being offered. With 2 different service provider's product in mind, I brought in the mail and spotted a Crazy John's promo catalogue.
And there it was... the same wireless broadband offer, PLUS a $100 iTunes voucher on top of that!
"WOW.. $100 is great!" i thought to myself.
I called to enquire and was then told that I basically have quite a range of choices for the freebie -- I could choose the voucher, or choose the $99 speaker, or basically take $100 off anything!

In such a situation, most people would have gone for an ipod or something.
But I already have 3 and there was something I wanted soo much more badly and that was a GPS!!
I remember pausing and seriously contemplating whilst I flipped the Crazy John's Catalogue the moement I saw that ad while I was still at home.. lol

And now, to get that already economical GPS navigator for only $139 I was jumpin for joy!! LMAO

Now all I need is to get really familiar with it and no more getting too lost and having to struggle juggling between driving and tryin to locate myself on the Melways..!!
It's a good lookin little thing fasho.. voxson GPS350.
Feels great in my hands =)

Well.. that's that for now, next post I write I wanna write about my new Haven and how I fell in love for it and am falling in love with it once again =))
