A moment lost in time and all I can ask
Was it ever real and did it really exist?
I'm tired of ripping off my tattered mask
I throw up my fists
Like the tree falling where noone can hear it
There was nothing more beautiful
There is nothing really like it
You evolved a piece of my soul
By the questions you asked
And the reason I wondered about them
The more I got unmasked
The more the darkness consumes me
I see the light burning brightly
Seeing the moment reflecting itself in the mirror
The sands of time have produced the window of opportunity
Giving into it like the warmth of the wolf's fur
Flying into it like a foolish bird
Grabbing me with it's ferocious claws
And mauling me with the meanings behind your words
Showing me my erroneous flaws
The more grey the war grows inside of me
It shows my alternate transparency that you always see
But to everyone else,I was always opaque
I desire that moment so much more
There is nothing more worth to take
But it changes when I'm with you for the moment's break
But it's always remade with something new

I always was connected to you
Before we had even met
You always got me through
But I'm not at the end of the tunnel yet
But the possibility of it not being real started a cancellation
My heart was torn in hemorraged mutilation
By the threads of the possibly false memory
The great horizon
I see you shining every time I look up at the skies
When the day is beginning and when the day is done
I hope you get past the horizons of plated gold
So I can prove my memory was real
All I have to do is have faith and be bold
