Well here's some news I can post about: I'm moving to Atlanta (from Boston) in a few weeks. I guess about the middle of September. I bought another house and will be selling the one I have now. Got a good deal, it's next door to my sister, and I will now have an automatic built-in pet sitter. (She will too, from me.) Also my sister has a dog

I ran across your work with the Pogues this Spring
GI doubt you'd recall me otherwise if now. Good luck on the move.
Moving from Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley back to help care for my aging parents may well be the most mind zapping, body wearying experience of my life.
I don't know if it's applicable but I bought empty space on a cross country moving truck for a fraction of what it would have cost me to do it the regular way. Everything arrived just fine.
I did put all valuables in my car and all tools and other heavy stuff on my truck. I bought a one way flight to Denver and a greyhound to Glenwood Springs to get my truck. I took an extra road day as the truck vibrated me to pieces and the weight felt like steering a boulder.
Best of luck.
I'll be forever in my debt to those friends who helped me out.
In other news I'm still trying to choose Pogues pics. Choosing from your superb work is tough!
Stay safe and look out for yourself.
Affectionately yours & wishes for a safe road trip.

BTW: I'd prefer 27 viewings of Nick Cave or The Pogues over NIN ;~) I made near that many of the Ramones.
I'm sure Atlanta will love you!
P.S. I miss shoveling fluffy high mountain snow!

Re moving: well it was a toss-up between LA (where the weather is better) and Atlanta (where I have family). But Atlanta won out; less expensive than LA too, I'd never be able to buy anything there. At least it's an easy flight from Atlanta so I can do some work out there no matter where I live. I am planning to get some movers here to fill a truck and my sister and her fabulous boyfriend will come up and drive the truck down there and get it unloaded. I'll be driving my own car with my cats. I'm getting rid of a ton of stuff so hopefully the truck will be one of the smaller/cheaper ones.
You know I have never seen Nick Cave live? I have to fix that.
Also I have been meaning to go through some of my Pogues shots and see if there's any more I can process. Or re-process some of the ones I've done; I use a different software a lot now.
Thanks for the well wishes! I am really glad I made this decision. Life is too short to keep doing something you don't like. And my sister is great, I'm really looking forward to living next door to her. We used to practically hate each other as kids; isn't it funny how that changes when you finally grow up (mentally and physically)?? :-D
