I'm at the university of Delaware waiting for Jon to come on. If I can I will put him in my pocket and take him home. :-)

He was his usual adorable self. He did not have the gray t-shirt on! He was wearing that darker one he sometimes wears but I have a vague memory of him usually wearing the gray short-sleeved one over that. This time, no.

The act was pretty much the same one he's been doing, with a few new(er) things thrown in. He did a thing about Dick Cheney and shooting that guy in the face and a few newish things about Hilary and Obama, but mostly it was the same: the dog getting sick, why is "our" oil under the land of the people who hate us; etc. He ended with the 9/11 thing about the homeless guy jerking off on his stoop (although I thought it used to be "peeing on my stoop"?). It was really nice to see him in concert and people were very appreciative of the act. I think for people who want to get a taste of his standup, though, it's in a way better to go to a taping and see his mini-act that he does as the warmup.

Also, the sound quality at UD was TERRIBLE. Horrendeously bad. I had to strain to hear him the entire time and having heard the act before, *I* knew what he was going to say! It sounded like they had one speaker set up pointing forward and that's it. No "surround sound" of any kind, and this is supposed to be the stadium where they have their big events. Then there was a hallway of some kind near my section and some stupid people were YELLING to each other in there every now and then. If I hadn't heard this act before, I literally would have missed at least a third of everything he said. I only "heard" because I knew the words.

Wow, that sucks! Did you think the audience reaction was lessened due to the audio? Because that could really be a problem for people, if they can't hear entire jokes.

Re: the change in the bum story, whenever he does an early show (or a corporate show), he cleans up words like that. For late shows or younger audiences, he does it the normal dirtier way. =)
