So, as you can tell from the subject, I'm |----| this much closer to finding a place to live. I've talked to 3 people about renting a house, and one of them sounds very promising. It's in Crestline Gardens, and it sounds like a *great* area. I mean, I asked if I could set up a time to look at it and he said "Oh, I just leave it open. It's easier that way. Just go on up and have a look around the inside. The credit applications and rental information is on the kitchen counter." Wow. If he's willing to leave the doors unlocked, it must be good. Downside: price. It's a 3br/1 ba, so it's automatically more than I need, and it's $795/month. ::sigh:: I'm going to go look anyway and just see what it's like. I mean, it might just be too fabulous to pass up. The other one that sounds like it'd be good is in Trussville. It's only $600/month and it's next to a 30-acre pasture. Sounds nice, but I don't know if it'll look nice too. I'm going to see that one after work tomorrow. I left messages with 3 other people, and maybe I'll hear something back from them too. We shall see.
In other news, work is starting to go better. It seems I am slowly emerging from the perpetual confusion that is "your first two weeks at Valspar". I'm still not perfect, by any means, and I still haven't seen *all* the lab procedures, but they're starting to let me do things by myself. Lots of things. Like, I took care of an entire sample today by myself. Ok....not *entirely* by myself-Jeff was watching me to be sure I didn't flub, but it was still my work. :)
Anyway, I'm off on an adventure to aforementioned house with Ken's mom!
