My good deed... and other stuff

I was in a pretty bad mood last night and today. Probably my own fault, but I can overlook that for now. I wanted to do something nice for someone, so, while I was out buying a car freshener for my car (Marty had it detailed yesterday, thus, it smells like cleaners) I stopped at Starbucks, picked up the Cait and Ari special and drove over to her house. I called her on my cell phone and told her to walk outside. She at first was skeptical, thinking that I was going to make fun of her for walking outside and seeing nobody. Wrong, silly girl. I was there! So she was all happy and we got to spend some well-needed time together and talk a bit. I know, I didn't do anything that changed the world for the better, but I *did* do something to help out our relationship. That's worth a lot more to me. I also managed to vent about everything that was bothering me to John. I feel bad for him... he had to read a reallllly long e-mail. Poor guy... he'll live :) Writing always makes me feel better.

Onto things that don't make me feel good: Physics. Oy - this shall be the death of me. I have a test tomorrow and I studied, I really, really did. ::Must do well:: I also have another Calc test but I think I'll survive that one.

Now, the polotical portion of this post: I have an issue I'd like to address about the rules and regulations of my school. They are quite possibly the worst rules yet. Anyone heard of "Willfull disobedience"?? I HAVE! As a result of our new principal, we have a few new rules with which we must abide. They're not all that unreasonable, so I won't address them here. BUT, the tardy rule, OMG. First tardy, you get a warning. Second tardy, you get sent to the office and a phone call will be in order, for your parents must know that you've gotten to class late twice. Third tardy, up to 10 days out of school suspension! Holy shit - that's messed up. There are to be no exceptions. Now, as I was taking in all this information from one of our assistant principals, I was having a little trouble registering this. The reason these new rules are in order is because of the rating our school got for the FCAT. Half of our school is liberal arts and the other half belongs to the Performing Arts magnet program (wooo!). Now, not to be compeltely biased but, you were preaching to the wrong choir, lady! We're not the ones (for the most part) who have missed more than 20 days a semester or who stroll into class 30 min late just to "make an appearance." Why must we, the students who actually attend school, be punished for the wrong-doings of the students who *don't* attend school. GRRR! I understand the dress code policy and I udnerstand the no-skipping policy, but this tardy policy is insane! My parents agree with me. My dad said that if he ever got a phone call from one of the AP's saying that I was tardy twice or more for class he'd offer to call the school district and ask for the APs to receive assistance because they obviously can't handle the problems at school by themself. Hehe. It was that or he would tell them that I should be allowed to be late to every class because of some made-up medical problem, just to piss them off.

No more talk about school. I got the new Dashboard cd yesterday. It's amazing, just as I had expected. Hmm... anything else? I need to bring in my teacher reccomendation forms to get filled out. I also need to find out whether certain schools would rather me apply online as opposed to snail mail. I guess I can do that tomorrow.

Laur - I hope you feel better. I pray that I never go through what you're going through.. mono = very very bad *hugs* you'll be ok :)

Wish me luck in school tomorrow - I know I'll need it, heh..
