And I agree with pretty much everything you said about TWoK- it's so understated yet epic, it looks good and has depth as well, the characters and acting makes one want to hug everyone in the cast...particularly Khan. Yes, that guy has an amazing chest, and the actor overall has such an amazing 'rawwwr' aura about him. No wonder his wife found it hard to resist ;D For some reason, I also fell completely in love with Saavik (though in a platonic way) on sight. Go figure. XD
And Spock's death really is one of the few movie moments that make me cry- the second they fire his cascet into space and kick in with the space version of Amazing Grace, I'm in tears.
Also, Search for Spock is great indeed! =) So much better than I expected, particularly with it being a sequel and on top of that a revival of a character that was supposed to stay dead. They really managed to make the whole concept work as an integrated part of the series, it didn't feel tacked on, rushed, weird or forced. And the feels... there are just so many wonderful moments, from Uhura locking that ensign in the closet, the Enterprise theft in general, to when Spock finally remembers Jim's name <3 <3 <3. As you say, it was perfection. =)
