Fellini all the way!!!

It's been a while. I found the list on films101.com. Thank god they don't put blockbusters (aka Titanic) on the list. If you ask me to pick my favourites... it really shows my love for Italian cinema.

So, I'd say: Singin' in the Rain (guilty pleasure), 8 1/2 (although I still prefer La Strada), Metropolis (get to see a print in a cinema once), The Conformist (finally, the DVD is out!!! This movie set the benchmark for modern cinema cinematography), Dr. Strangelove (major lulz), L.A. Confidential (superb acting by Russell Crowe), Duck Soup (another major lulz). Brando is more well known for A Street Car Named Desire (Stellaaaaaaaaaaaa!) but personally I prefer On the Waterfront (In fact Last Tango in Paris is my favourite among all his stuff, although most people only remember the scene with butter, see? Another Italian one...). As a major fan of Norton, Fight Club and America History X is always on my list (hmmm, 25th Hour is a closing third). I like Hitchcock's Rope but mainly for his clever use of framing and editing. Oh don't forget Chinatown too...
