Summary: The Mentalist/Stargate (SG-1 & Atlantis) crossover. Jane really does have telepathic and empathic abilities, but subconsciously repressed them after his family's murders. On the run after finally killing Red John, these abilities resurface during an encounter with a mission led by Major Evan Lorne, and the SGC has to decide if they will recruit him or turn him in to the police.

Notes: Written for The Mentalist Big Bang 2012 (mentalist-bb). Set sometime during S3 of The Mentalist, post-S10 of SG-1 and early S5 of SGA. AU only due to the fact that Jane has telepathy and empathy, otherwise follows canon. A huge thank you to my artist agent-era for her lovely art!
