I feel like it's a positive sign when part of the job availability discussion includes, 'so what nights would you be intending to play hockey?'
Anyway I had my interview with Pure Hockey and I think it went well (not just because of the above), but I felt like I could give clear, solid answers to the questions (it was very similar to Home Depot's 'scenario' interviewing - describe what you would do in [x] situation, that kind of thing), and that the asst. manager liked the answers. Anyway, the asst. manager said next step was he'd relay the answers/etc to the store manager, and the store manager would decide whether to call me back for a 2nd interview or not.
Have I mentioned how much I want this job? ...should I mention it again?
Seriously please I love hockey and I can be a diligent, attentive, patient sales rep if someone will just please hire me. I swear. I can learn anything you want me to. I am the kind of guy willing go waist deep in mystery water if there's a basement flood. (my only question there would be, 'after climbing out of the mystery water, can I have a dress code reprieve for the rest of shift?')
so fingers crossed. I mean I know Home Depot would be a good solid job too, but hockey shop okay.
Also successful: taking the 59 bus nearly its entire route (Newtonville - Needham Center), a half hour each way, when I have never done so before.
It's been a busy afternoon and I am a worn-out Badger, and trying hard not to fall asleep before dinnertime.
hockey,
