Goddamnit
Mixed bag entry today. Yeah, me going off didn't last long. Basically personally/selfishly speaking things are kind of looking up technically. Tomorrow I'm handing in my final essay for this semester (before the huge one I'll hate to do during christmas holidays)- I just have to tighten it up a little- though I have till 5. And more importantly I'm seeing my mum tomorrow. (She's doing well by the way though you know, just will feel better when I see her- dang ice keeping me away and making my dad say I shouldn't go to that hospital.) Told a flatmate or two and they were nice about it and all (well duh.) (Thanks greg BTW for your comment)
But now I hear that last night one of my flatmates almost got attacked. Two stupid drunk guys tried to force their way into our block of flats (IDEK, I think I was at the library or something then) as she was going in- because they wanted to get to her and she was by herself. Said flatmate is from a relatively quiet part of China, I'm not sure she's used to this kind of thing (but still I'd freakin' freak at it too most people would despite experience but I think it's even worse in the aftermath in her case)- but being awesome and brave she decided, despite being terrified, going into OUR flat wouldn't be a good idea- since it's filled with girls. Instead she went to one of the guys flats. It ended up with three guys keeping them at bay though they did try to smash in a WINDOW.
Then said two drunk guys got arrested and carted away. (Thank shit the fuzz got them).
Of course this means we need more security- idiots keep leaving doors open sometimes (or sometimes it catches and it isn't their fault then) and security doesn't patrol here at all. Plus be more careful about who we let in- apparently we are in a rough part of town.
I don't get what's up with this semester. I'm living with awesome girls, nicer and more friendly I think then other ones I've been with in smaller flats yet it's been pretty screwy for someone of us because of things outside of our control for the most part.
