Cup not working consistently

Hi everyone! I have been using my cup for over three years now and I love it, but it doesn't always work the same. Sometimes, I put it in and it's like magic, I won't see a drop of blood until I take it out. Other times (like right now) it leaks constantly, now, I believe I use the cup the exact same way every single month, so if I'm not doing anything different, what could possibly be happening here? Does anyone else have this problem?
ps: I haven't been here in a long long time and it is lovely to read here and see again this community of women supporting each other
