Uncomfortable Cup

Hello, y’all! So today is my very first time to ever use a menstrual cup. I am 35, have never had kids, and am somewhat sexually active. I have a light flow due to birth control pills. I have felt for my cervix and I believe it is about average height...I think. I’m not very familiar with myself, sad to say, and feeling around blind is a little ( Read more... )

Sigh. Well I lasted from 10am to 7pm. I took the cup out to empty it and just couldn’t get it back in. My muscles and everything is quite fatigued feeling. I was aware of the cup all day. It was uncomfortable to sit on a hard chair. Idk if that was from the stem though as the stem remained outside the whole day. I think tonight I’ll just use a pad and try again tomorrow. I’m really wanting to use my cup regularly and especially for sports as I’m training for a 5K and pads chafe when you sweat.

Don't give up. It took me 3 cycles for my body to completely get used to the cup. I also use a Lena cup. I know you said that you do squats and stuff but have you tried gyrating your hips? Like moving them like you would if you were hula hooping. After I insert my cup I do 3 squats, 3 hip gyrations, and I squeeze my vaginal muscles 3 times. This usually helps the cup move up to wear it needs to be.

Do you think that it could be the stem that is making it so uncomfortable? You could try trimming it just a little bit since the cup sits so low.

I hope this helps. Good luck and don't give up. :)

Struggle with it for a little while longer and try to figure out WHY it doesn't fit as well as you'd like it to. Length? Width? Shape? Or maybe it's just the stem???

Another possibility is that you might have a weak pelvic floor. There's a section about strengthening it toward the end of https://kuradi8.livejournal.com/ Skim/Read the rest to see if you find any helpful hints to make your cup more comfortable.
