Get the hang of inserting and removing it, and then use it to gauge how much shorter/longer wider/narrower you want your next cup to be. 9It might fit you just fine!) As for lube, any water-based lube will be just fine. Something like a small tube of K-Y or its generic knock-offs will be enough for at least a year. Put a small dab on YOU, not on your cup. Some folks prefer coconut oil because it's less likely to raise an eyebrow but that usually comes in containers that don't fit in your pocket or purse, and being an oil, it's OILY.
Finally, expect there to be a learning curve. Hang in there, it usually takes a few cycles.
