Well, I'm home now. It's a relief to be home, but also a madness. I have to be in Washington on Sunday, and I'm not looking forward to moving again. It's going to be a really busy week. I have a lot of stuff I need to get done before I leave again, not the least of which is repacking my things so I'm not taking all of my school stuff down to DC. I'm not going to need my school stuff down there. And besides moving down to Washington, I'm going back out to Penn State on Friday for graduation, so I've got a lot to do.
On a random note, I am listening to Rush, and it is making me very happy.
Today I slept late-- I thought till 11:30, but that was really because the clock was wrong and I was confused. Really it was only 10:30. I have finished Bloodhound, the new book by Tamora Pierce, and it was amazing. Definitely worth the long wait. I went with my parents this morning to take Tahoe to get his nails clipped, which apparently he really hates. After we came back, I sat outside for a while, reading. It was a little cold for just sitting outside, although it was nice and sunny. I moved some pots, and helped my dad weed some of the raised beds in the vegetable garden. Then I read some more-- I read a lot today, which was really nice. I haven't gotten to read very much lately, and I missed it.
Here's a list of some of the things I have to accomplish this week before I go:
- Spray the poison ivy at the top of the driveway and around the side of the vegetable garden. I have two gallons of Roundup just for this, which should do wonderfully.
- Cut back the Russian olive at the top of the driveway-- I won't be able to do this until the end of the week, when the Roundup has started to work on the weeds up there.
- Repack all of my things.
- Go to the doctor and make an appointment for August, as well as get my prescription refilled.
- Go up to Grey Towers to visit-- I will probably go on Tuesday, and hopefully I'll be able to see Beth.
- Shopping, to pick up things like sunscreen-- I'm going to need some that hasn't expired for this summer.
- Get the oil changed in my car.
So, yeah, this is going to be a really busy week. I can't believe how much stuff I have to get done. I'm not even really unpacking. There's no real point, since I'm only leaving again in a little while. It's so weird, never being home. I almost wish I was home for the summer, but I don't know what I would do with myself if I was. It's too long for me to sit idle, and I don't know where I'd be able to get a job, especially in this economy.
