Okay, so lots of things have been happening recently, both in RL and online.
1) I've decided to try going poo-free. I don't know whether the label for it is hilariously funny or slightly disgusting. In any case, what it means is sham-poo free. If you take a tablespoon of baking soda and mix it with a cup of water, you can make shampoo-substitute that doesn't have all the chemicals that store-brand shampoo does. If you mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with a cup of water, you get conditioner. There's an adjustment time of 2-4 weeks for your scalp to stop over-producing oil in response to the harsh chemicals from regular shampoo, but it seems like things are slowly getting better. I've been doing this for a little over a week and in the past few days I've noticed that the grease is starting to disappear. Hopefully it will cut down even more and I'll like the condition of my hair in a week or so. Then I can finally stop my search for a cheap, nice-smelling, well-working, non-chemical laden shampoo and conditioner set. Honestly, there's almost no smell, but I think it smells very faintly of baking soda if anything, which I like.
2) My coed fraternity chapter recently initiated a new batch of brothers. It's always very exciting because you can feel the vitality of the group more acutely. These are the people that are going to be carrying on the organization into the future and keeping it alive. XD
3) My second project with Neon Lines was released last week. It was a lot quicker to do since the video wasn't as long, but when I think about it, I did my spotting parts within one day for both of them. ^.^;; It makes me think I might go overboard if I get a large project because I'll STILL try to do it all in one sitting.
4) I've romanized the Arashi biography on the JE website. I just need to make some translated appendices, and then it's all ready to go up. I've been stalled for a couple days while I dealt with initiation and got distracted by food, but hopefully I can finish it soon before it joins my list of forever half-completed projects. T.T I've actually done a lot of projects in the past month. My brain nearly fried from staying focused for so long. No, really, as in I spent 16 hours a day staring at my computer, researching, translating, and formatting for 4-5 days straight. I'm stupid. \(^o^)/
5) I discovered Once A Month Mom. This site has menus every month going back about 3 years made up of foods you can make in bulk and freeze. Then you can just reheat them or pop them in the oven or slow cooker and have quick easy food. I was SO excited. Of course, the quality of the food after reheating is yet to be determined. I went ahead and made bulk breakfast burritos from another site (which is how I got into this in the first place). I've eaten 2 of them and I've yet to heat them up perfectly. Yesterday it was just a bit cold in one area. Today I heated it for longer and there were ice chunks still in the middle. To be fair, yesterday's didn't have salsa in it though. Extra water content= longer to reheat. In any case, I'm hoping freezer cooking is all I hope it will be.
6) Tomorrow I have an interview with a restaurant to see if I can finally land a job. I don't see any reason I shouldn't get hired, but I'm still worried. I also have to get up earlier than my sleep cycle is going to like, so that makes me nervous/sure I won't look my best. Wish me luck anyway. (^_^)b
7) SHINee had their comeback!!!!!!! I really like Sherlock and I think the people commenting that Stranger should have been their comeback song are wrong. For one, Stranger was one of their original Japanese releases. It makes no sense to use a re-release as their Korean comeback after a year. For another, Sherlock is just catchier. For a third, wanting them to keep the same style forever is basically wishing suicide on the group. They can't survive that way and what's more, they're young guys. They deserve room to do new things as they get older. I'm still trying to find a show they've been on since they cut their hair. I want to see what Taemin's hair looks like outside of the PV. He suits long hair, but it always looks weird in the PVs.
That's all for now. I'm almost sure no one reads my posts, but it makes no sense to write them as if I'm the only one reading them. Maybe someday someone will anyway. I'm getting a little more traffic on my journal now that I've posted up some of my Arashi projects. I think I might a link to my project masterpost on arashi_on to let more people know what I'm doing. I do these things so other people can make use of them after all.
Well, that pretty much catches everything up. Whew! It really is a lot when I look at the list. XD It's been a busy month. I hope it stays this way so I can feel like I'm living life to the fullest.
