Today (February 13th) is Sorry Day in Australia. This was to celebrate the national apology to the Indigenous children (commonly know as the stolen generation) who were forcible removal from their families. The government kidnapped approximately 50,000 children until the program was ended in the 1970's. This was a catalyst for a nation wide movement of people apologizing to each other, for the wrongs they done. I'm not sure how to celebrate this holiday, though I find it ironic that it falls the day before Valentines day. I guess the biggest thing I am sorry for is the miss opportunities to send time with my friends. I have been using my erratic work schedule as justification for not spending time being social. My reason for doing this are petty and selfish, so I will work harder to over come them.
