Appendectomy

So I went to work, and worked all day. I called Katelin about a half hour before I was off my shift, and she told me her pain had gotten a lot worse. I told her I'd pick her up as soon as possible and we'd go back to the ER. So I rushed to finish through my shift and got off maybe 5 mins early... then I ran all the way from work to her house and picked her up. At the ER they did a CT scan (which was AWFUL for katelin because of the medium up the rear) and determined she had Appendicitis. This was at around 3am. They put her on the list for surgery and we had to wait a few hours. Got a few winks of sleep. She got in for surgery at around 8am this morning. Everything went fine, and she's been recovering in the hospital bed all day. Alex and Julie came to visit and keep her company which was really nice. I love Katelin so much... it's hard to see her in pain, but I'm glad they figured out a solid normal thing that was causing the pain, and they could fix it with a surgery. Hopefully she'll be able to go home tomorrow morning. I came home tonight to get a good night sleep, since I have to work late tomorrow. It feels really wrong to not be by her side right now. I know she's fine, probably sleeping... but it still just feels like I'm not doing my job.

In other news, I just heard the ah George the dog will probably see his final hours either tonight or tomorrow.

I guess that's all for now. I'm going to bed soon.
