Meg's long-distance boyfriend has been up for a visit for the past week. (Yes, he followed all the safety protocols before traveling.) He left this morning on his 16 hour drive back to Kansas City, MO. They met in January at seminary orientation in St. Paul, MN and have grown a very strong relationship even though it was only through e-mails, phone calls and face-time. It was nice for us to finally meet him. We like him very much. He seems to be a very good match for Meg - shared faith, values, humor, interests - and they are just so darned happy when they're together. They're pretty serious about each other, so we'll see how it goes.
Aside from that -- I continue alternating working days at the office and at home with my co-worker. Hubby has been informed that he (and everyone else) will be working from home at least to the end of October, probably the end of the year. He's on vacation this week, so I've kindly left a honey-do list for him. lol I will have Thursday & Friday off and hope to get some work done clearing out the basement.
This Saturday our church is doing a practice run-through of a service, as we plan to re-open on September 6th. It will be just the Pastor, church council, the worship & music committee, the head of the ushers and me (as head of the worship assistants). The Pastor has been streaming an edited service from home every Sunday, and that will continue for those who are uncomfortable with in person services. I am interested to see how things will be.
Stitching news: I have finished page 1 in the Musician (by artist Tatyana Haustova) and page 7 of High Tea (by artist Randal Spangler). Right now all I've done on Musician is just sky, so not that exciting yet, but you can look up both pictures online if you want to see what they will eventually be.
