I ramble...

Well back at work. Great. I will attempt to ignore this nastiness by posting a nice long annoying entry. We should all suffer together don't you think?

Torchwood thoughts... I'd like to see more Tosh, I really like her. Wish Ianto was a bad shot. Ep 12&13 waaaaaaa! Love Jack. LOVED the season finale. Love Jack's next to last line. It. Killed. Me. Dead.

The Xmas Dr Who... Only made me weepy a few times. It was fun and I wish that Donna was the next companion. Very much looking forward to the new season.

Sarah Jane Smith Adventures... Cute kids show that I will no doubt watch because I love Sarah Jane.

Just noticed these communities... doctorslashjack and tenxjack. Might have joined them too.:) I like the DW10 personality with Torchwood-Jack. Much more intriguing then DW9 and Dr Who-Jack. Torchwood Jack is much more interesting and has a hard edge I really like and think matches very well with the edgier DW10.

I downloaded a McKay/Sheppard fanmix the other day by triskellita with the best title ever... 'This ferris wheel ain't no equilateral triangle' It is a clever mix that matches the most brilliant fic by minervacat who also chooses the best titles for her fics, BTW. The fic is 844,739 Ways to Eat a Hamburger and yes it is supposed to be hilarious. The *Hamburger* fic is actually a sequel, of sorts, for the wonderfully titled The Cigarette Girl In The Sizzle Hot Pants If anyone wanted to check that out first. I seem to get most of my music through fanmixes these days. Some fantastic music out there that I'd never hear otherwise.

I have been stuck at seperis's SGA fic site for a week or so. What to rec? I really love them all so it's hard to pick just a few. The one where John is shrunk (Teacher's Pet Series) has some truly fantastic moments but Arizona (AU-ness) is also a great story(check on the site for extra parts to this AU). For something really different I was really surprised by how much I liked The Difference (Ronon, Ronon/Weir, Sheppard/McKay) PG-13. So I'd say read them all but these few are all fun for different reasons.

SGA fic

Something More
(McKay, McKay/Sheppard) NC-17
Spoilers: none specific
He's out of practice with dealing with John, and it shows.

I love this. Love, love the idea. Love the way Rodney is written. Love surfing/hiding John. Love what Jack did. Great story.

Like Running Through Water
Codes: Sheppard/McKay
Rating: PG-13
Summary: As far as McKay was concerned, John was a really nifty remote control for Ancient toys. It would have been offensive if John had tried to be anything else.

Okay this one wins purly for the Hide and seek game.

Instructional
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Runner, very lightly
Summary: The learning curve can be a little rough. Author Notes: I'm still in my learning curve in this fandom, so. Yeah.

*snicker* Do not piss off the science team. I would kill to know what Rodney ended up doing to Lorne.

Shed Your Skin
(Sheppard, Sheppard/McKay) NC-17
Spoilers: Duet, Conversion
Beneath the sheet, his hands twists together, trying to rub away the alien in him, like last time, that led to sedation and Heightmeyer and Carson's worried bandaging of blood-slick hands and promises of restraints once upon a few days ago.

Speaking of that fic "Teacher's Pet', there is a fantastic AU part to it. Oh and the cover art by Dacey is very, very good. One | Two
What I Keep And What I Carry
(McKay, Sheppard, Jeanie Miller) PG, AU
Spoilers: McKay and Mrs. Miller
AU of Teacher's Pet. She stops wondering how Meredith could do this, why, because she already knows.

A new find for me... By Kolyaaa
A sort of kid fic. It is quite good and has an interesting plot. Funny in parts but I found it needed a tissue warning especially toward the end. SGA. Rodney gets shrunk
Stuck

When I did read LOTR fics, I read Aragorn stories pretty much exclusively. I was especially fascinated by stories that gave him a history. He was 87 years old when we meet him I wanted to know his history.

And here is the Aragorn fic I love more then any other.
Thorongil by Eledhwen
Aragorn's journeys under the name 'Thorongil'; from Rivendell to Minas Tirith via Rohan.

This is also a good find
For Love of a City by meckinock
Summary:Faramir puts aside his new and unexpected joy to comfort another grieving son, and finds his own measure of peace.
A much more fitting end for a great warrior and friend, JMHO.
