w00t!
I went to a Paramore: Last Riot! concert in Central Park yesterday. The line was unbelievable! I didnt think everyone would be able to fit into Rumsey Field but somehow everyone did and there was even room to sit on the ground! Haha. But it was still a pretty small venue. The show started at 6pm but the doors opened at 4:30pm. We didn't see the inside of the venue till about 5:30pm-ish. Yea, thats how long that line was. What really sucks is that our friend Sal, had 2 meet&greet tickets but after waiting on a seperate line for that for hours... we found out that the tickets he got off ebay were non-transferable so we couldn't use them. He paid about $300 for those too, so he has some choice words for the girl that sold it to him. That sucked pretty bad but the show was awesome. Here is the list of bands:
-Paper Route (they weren't anything special just the usual soft rock)
-Phantom Planet (awesome! they even played "California!")
-Jack's Mannequin (i realized i know more than one of their songs, they ripped that piano up!)
-Paramore (we were so close to them, way closer than we were at bamboozle, amazing!)
I have some pix and will probably be setting up a youtube account so that I can post the short videos we took. Also, I have a video of some random old guy dancing to Phantom Planet with these two boys that joined in. Lol! They kept at it for all of Phantom Planet's set and like 15 more people joined in! Haha, I didnt get any video of that crowd, though. Oh yeah and there was a group of about 5 or 6 pre-teens across from us who were belting out Paramore songs and rocking out. That was so cute! It reminded me of myself when my cousin and I would dance around to Spice Girls, pssh I would have died to go to one of their concerts at that age. I think those girls were having the most fun out of anyone at that concert. Lol!
I miss Kevin already. He forgot to bring my charger so I won't be able to use my phone till Sunday when my parents can charge it in the car on the way to school. I can't wait to move onto campus again =] I need to buy a rug for the bathroom and a new body pillow.
