[Dick shoulders his backpack with a nervous sigh, looking over at Jason] Are you...are you ready?

[Dick leans in the doorway of their room with a sigh, watching Jason sleep. It must have been an extra, extra long patrol and a hell of a lot of action to wipe Jason out enough to that he's that sound asleep. Dick puts his bag very carefully on the floor, trying not to wake Jason before sliding off his boots, the thick carpet muffling the sound of his canes as he crossed to the bed. He leans close to press a soft kiss to Jason brow, brushing the hair back from his face.]

[Jason shifts a little, a smile touching his lips as he dreams. He's felt Dick's presence, but Dick is 'safe' to him, so he doesn't wake up just yet.]

[Dick smiles too, sliding into bed next to Jason and cuddling in close to his lover with a soft sigh.]

[he_has_me]

[Jason shifts again, an arm coming around Dick to pull him close as he murmurs] L've you.

[mended_wing]

Love you too. [Dick whispers, curling into his arms.] So much. [He thought he's cried all he could while he was away but safe in Jason's arms again, the tears start to well again]

[he_has_me]

[The feel of Dick's tears wake Jason up, and he blinks at Dick before pulling him even tighter against him body, nuzzling at Dick's hair] Hey, babe. I've got you.

[mended_wing]

Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you. [He sniffs, wiping his eyes before leaning up for a kiss] Go back to sleep, you look like you had a big night

[he_has_me]

[Jason will rub Dick's back and kiss him] Not about to go back to sleep when you're upset, babe.

[mended_wing]

[he shakes his head and snuggles close] It just struck me how lucky I am. I have three families, so many friends and a partner who has my heart. If I hadn't fallen that night... [He shakes his head again.] I'm just so glad to be home.

[he_has_me]

[kisses Dick's hair] Don't dwell on what ifs, they'll only make you crazy. Trust me on this.

Glad to have you home.

[mended_wing]

[He gives a sad little laugh.] You'd think the Hub would have taught me that.

[he nuzzles against Jason's shoulder] I missed you. Everything go okay with Tim and Bruce?

[he_has_me]

[smiles into Dick's hair] Yeah. Tim and I worked on Bruce's bike and the car, and Bruce asked me what my intentions were toward you. Well, not in so many words.

[mended_wing]

Oh bugger, I've been meaning to check on that bike, I know how finicky the engine can be.

[That makes him smile.] Really? Oh dear. Dare I ask how you answered?

[he_has_me]

[smiles at the curse word] Tim and I got it running just fine.

That I'd planned to come here when I thought it was a one way trip. [he'll look down, a little afraid of Dick's reaction to his next words, if they're too sappy] And that my intention was to make you smile every day, and if I couldn't, to hold you until you were ready to smile again.

[mended_wing]

Until Bruce trashes it again. [He grins playfully] You have no idea how hard that man is on my gear.

[Dick gives a soft gasp and cups Jason's cheek, kissing him deep and lovingly.]

[he_has_me]

[raises eyebrow] Your gear? [he's grinning] Tim filled me in on some of the 'epic battles' you and Bruce have had over the car.

[kisses back, putting everything he feels for Dick into it]
