Interesting little adventure this afternoon
So, just in case anyone wants something completely pointless to read (hannah):
First off, my car in incredibly low on gas. The gas light has been on all day and I've driven to the school and back twice along with a trip to hooksett. So, basically, I need gas.
Then, Serena calls me asking me go bring Moriah from the CC to her house. I figure I could just go to the Mobil and get gas using my debit card before I got Moriah and everything would be good. Then, at the pump, I try and use my card and the machine replies that it is maxed. So I try to call my mom (who is in derry) and she doesn't answer the phone. At all. Then to drive back to the REC wondering what the heck I was going to do. I didn't think my car could have lasted to Moriah's house, back to mine, then back to the gas station.
I run into Mrs Mac as soon as I pull up, and tell her my story. She has no cash and basically no way of helping me. Then I talk to Ledoux who offers to let me borrow a $10. The only issue there is that Ledoux also needs gas and now has no cash for it. So Mrs Mac ends up driving to the gas station to get a gas can to bring Ledoux gas in while I take the $10 and go get my own gas. Then, a mere 10 minutes later when I am back with real money, the Mobil has signs posted all over everything that say "Debit cards are not accepted." Then I brought Moriah home.
So, basically, I started a wonderful little gas party at the CC at 4:30 on a Thurs afternoon. And then took the time to post it here in very good detail because I have no life.
