Ugh
You know, I'm probably something of an asshole to some of my coworkers. But it's only because I would like them to do their jobs! I don't want them to do anything extra, just what they're supposed to do, I'll gladly deal with the rest.
But take tonight's bartender, for example. Something happened with her cash register (it was a big banquet bar, for a wedding reception). The printout she usually gets her totals from was all fucked up and double printed in some places. Apparently, she didn't notice when it started pulling itself back through the feeder and continued printing over what was already there. Rather than going over her inventory variance sheet (which she'd already filled out) to figure out what she sold, she tried to just dump the whole mess in my lap. Too bad I couldn't do anything with it.
Ugh, the shit that happens on the night before my vacation. The printer for the food & beverage computer ran out of toner. And of course, not only do we /not/ have another toner cartridge for it, it's the only goddamn printer of its kind in our entire hotel..*fume!*
Then there were the inebrieted wedding guests, who were making too much noise in the halls and waking people up. Fortunately they were pretty mellow and cooperative when I went down to talk with them.
Thank the goddess or god or whoever is out there, that I have the next 9 nights off..I NEED them! I might even get out and go visit kolyada and ninjakitten.
