Moviegoers celebrating Halloween 2012 by going to see Hotel Transylvania on the big screen are in for a big treat from award-winning director Genndy Tartakovsky. Beginning 26 October 2012, all digital showings of Hotel Transylvania at Regal Entertainment Group Cinemas throughout the U.S. will be preceded by a new animated short called Goodnight, Mr. Foot and starring none other than legendary preternatural monster Bigfoot!

This new traditionally animated short follows the adventures of Bigfoot as he checks into Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s five-stake monsters only resort, looking for a little rest and relaxation. What he finds is an enthusiastic witch-maid eager to make Mr. Foot’s stay a memorable one.

Making this Halloween treat even “big”ger and more memorable for fans, an exclusive new collectible one sheet - designed by Tarakovsy himself (he animated every key frame of Goodnight, Mr. Foot) will be given away, while supplies last, at all showings of Hotel Transylvania in Carmike Cinemas nationwide!

“After we finished Hotel Transylvania I got an itch to animate! Taking inspiration from my favorite directors Bob Clampett, Tex Avery and Chuck Jones I animate a short cartoon in the traditional 2D style. It was difficult and exhilarating all at once and I hope people will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.”

If you can’t get to a showing of Hotel Transylvania in a Regal or Carmike theater, don’t despair. A specially created promo video will also be popping up online sometime around Halloween (31 October) so keep your eyes peeled (not literally, please)!
