This isn’t the first time The Sims have explored the preternatural world. in fact, they introduced the career of ghost hunter in
The Sims 3 Ambitions Expansion Pack more than two years ago in 2010. It must have been a popular career choice because come September 2012 will open up a whole new world of magic, mystery and more with The Sims 3 Supernatural Expansion Pack. And this time, instead of just investigating hauntings, players will get to create and live as supernatural Sims including werewolves, vampires and faeries.

The Sims 3 Supernatural introduces the new ability to create fairies, witches and more intriguing vampires directly in the Create a Sim tool. Many of the individual characteristics of each Sim can be customized, from the sharpness of a vampire’s fangs to how hairy a werewolf is to the size and shape of a fairy’s wings. It doesn’t stop there, either. While playing as a supernatural Sim, gamers will discover new and different abilities, traits, skill and ways of interacting with their Sim world and other Sims that enhance their in game experiences. What this means is that fairies and vampires age differently than other Sims and werewolves have lycanthropy which allows them to control their animal instincts and shift at will. Even witches innately channel their magic into spells, charms and curses.
Along with a new cast of characters, The Sims 3 Supernatural offers players a new world to explore. In Moonlight Falls they will uncover everything from enchanted objects to gothic decor disguising sliding bookcases and secret passages. There are also some new career choices such as fortune-teller and alchemist to choose from. All the while the onset of a new and mysterious lunar cycle slowly unveils strange revelations, secrets and mysteries to shake up the status quo and the entire town of Moonlight Falls.
The Sims 3 Supernatural is rated T for Teen and currently available for pre-order.
