I am so sorry about the lateness in posting here, but as some of you already know, I've had a difficult time lately, as well as being busy moving several of my sites

I'm mostly a lurker on this group, so feel free to ignore me, but I think probably the best thing to do is either, back up a lot, and post the back ups to alternate journaling sites and/or, keep an eye out to see if fandom manages to make up it's mind, and then encourage everyone here to move and probably close this LJ down to try and help make the move complete.

Although, chances of fandom ever collectively making up their mind: 1% :P

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, or if you'd even want to try (you'd probably want to speak to the members first) but there are programs out there that allow you to copy all of the old entries here, and have them posted at an LJ clone (like Greatest Journal, or Insane Journal). I did it last night with my personal journal, but I know there's an option for communities too. It doesn't work on comments, and of course the names are transferred directly so "bob" on LJ may be "phil" on GJ or not exsist, or there may already be a bob who'd be getting "credit" but it would help preserve the comms history.

Here's the tool that I used to migrate. You need to have Python on your computer if you're going to use it.

It took me a bit of fiddling to get it to work, and you have to work from the command line. If you need any help, let me know.
