saddest story ever... well maybe not but sad enough

So, over the weekend we saw a mouse in the house.  we bought those "don't kill the mice" traps so you can set them free once you catch it.  we caught the little guy last night (has to be a baby, he was so tiny) and this morning let him out at the end of the drive way before cory took me to work.  When he got home, about half hour later, the mouse was still in the trap. looking cold. and upset.

cory took it back inside in the trap to warm up.  after a while he decided to try letting him out in the back yard, may be a more familiar environment.  after an hour or so he went to see what became of mr. mouse.  mr mouse had walked back up to our house and sat by our window staring inside, shivering.

cory emailed me not knowing what to do, he felt so bad letting this little wild mouse freeze to death.  so i called him and said to get a box with some hay and put the mouse in there and i'll figure something out when i get home.

i know grown mice have a higher chance of carrying disease (at least i think anyway) does anyone know anything about wild baby mice? he is super tiny... like... super tiny.  probably as long as my pinky.

Any help is appreciated!
