Quiet Weekend
So, it has occurred to me that this may in fact have been the only quiet weekend that I am going to get while my parents are away...
Last weekend was overshadowed by computer problems and my brother should be spending all the rest of the weekends in February here with me.
Don't get me wrong, I love having my brother around, especially when my parents are away. For one thing he is a phenomenal cook (almost as good as my mother) and it is nice not to have to fend for myself, as I am totally kitchenophobic. He goes back to the US just in time for my parents to return. I think he does that on purpose, he's done this for several years in a row...I bet he doesn't want to have to deal with his wife dealing with his mother...sneaky boy!
For another thing, he just fun to be around when he isn't in husband / father mode. We talk fanfiction, slash (this is the brother who wrote the novel length Harry Potter femslash story) and just general life stuff. I'm looking forward to him being here. I'm just sad I won't get any extra quiet weekends to myself. Maybe I will take a few days off work before my parents arrive just to veg out and do nothing but sleep, surf the net, and oh yeah, clean the house!
So yesterday my only outing was to the grocery store, and today I didn't do a thing. It is overcast and rainy anyway, so not even tempted to set foot outside.
