Joe has taken up the half-novel challenge, and after a conversation a week or so ago, I decided I should give it a whirl too. We will be like two girls going to Jenny Craig but instead of counting calories together, we'll be spurring one another on to greater and greater word counts.
How I'll fit this in with the big-ass convention, my big-ass contract work, my sister's thankfully less of a big-ass wedding, and letting my spouse, friends, and loved ones know I'm still alive will be moderately challenging. But productive!
Thinking ahead, to combat my carpal tunnel and to initiate more creativity I'm taking a pottery and sculpture class at an art school in January (my birthday present to me). I think I've convinced Beanie to come along for the ride, so even if we suck at sculpture we can have mudfights or write rude words on our lopsided pots. Long live the revolucion!
