I am going to make an actual substantial post. No one is more shocked about this than I am.
Things are progressing on the writing fronts, which is bringing me that lovely sense of satisfaction that I can still write things that I don't later walk away from and start to hate. I have ~3,800 words of Big Bang so far, which I know isn't much, but I am confident I can churn out a good draft by April (if not sooner, I have a plan for 2k per week until it is DONE). I really like it, and hope people give it a chance, even though I think it falls into this odd category of being "darkly schmoopy". Droopy? Schmark? Is there an alternate portmanteau I should be using here?
Also, I have a really good soundtrack draft of it (I may force it upon you, twinstar), which usually indicates to me whether or not something will be written. I think I use soundtracks more and more like outlines for my fics these days, they help me remember scenes and the order of operations better than written or typed notes. Probably because then it's far easier to move scenes around; and I like writing out of order? IDK, does anyone else do this?

My own other quirks? I cannot write when there is hair in my eyes or face at all, sometimes I pull my hair back with one hand while hand-writing with the other. Hence why it is KILLING me right now to not go chop off my awkward grown-out pixie (I'm playing hair chicken with myself until the weather gets warmer...) Also, sometimes I will stop typing and file my nails down to the quick because I type with my fingertips, and any length on my nails at all means I'm banging them very hard against the keys and it drives me insane.
Now, I go transcribe and strangle the life outta my help_haiti fic for wendy...
