I've more or less recovered from that ordeal.

... I don't want to be this village's personal shrink, but the majority of you seem to have a lot of issues with depression. Here's some advice: GET OVER IT. If I sound cranky, you try having the populace of this place wailing into your head all the time. I guarantee you'll share my viewpoint.

You say that like it's easy!

You're right. It's far easier to not allow yourself to sink that low in the first place, but people are stupid.

Depression. It isn't easy to get over, especially while your stuck in a place like this! You should stop being mean and try being a little understanding!

People like you are the reason I dislike humanity in general. You have this unending deluded view that the world is actually a good place and people are fundamentally good. You are the kind of person who eventually sinks into this kind of depression when your rose-colored world gets shattered.

The world is a good place with good people. I'll admit that sometimes people aren't so good but you shouldn't dislike humanity because of what some people think or do.

To me, It sounds like you don't want to be the kind of person that gets let down.

People are all the same when it comes down to it - they're all out for themselves. They may say they care about others, but there's always some sort of benefit.

I don't get let down because I don't delude myself into thinking that things can be different.

No! That's not true! Not at all! Do you help people just to benefit yourself? It's not like that with everyone, honestly! Sometimes people are selfish when they're helping others but there's a good selfishness and a bad one!

I think you used to think things could be different.

Most of it is the bad kind.

... perhaps.

No, It's not. Now your just being a pessimist! I won't deny that humans are naturally selfish but it's okay to be selfish. It's all right to do something just for yourself, every once in awhile, at least. Don't ... don't think badly about everyone because you've met some bad people. Please. You've got to at least have a little faith in humanity...

There's no denying it~ ♥ We've all been hurt, we've all been let down, but if we give up our faith ... what else do we have?

I don't feel the need to explain to you why I feel the way I do. Suffice it to say that if you can't trust your own family, why the hell should you trust anyone else? They're the ones who are supposed to support you and love you unconditionally.

I have no faith in humanity whatsoever.

Sometimes the people you may be blood related to aren't family. Sometimes they can be bad people but there is always someone out there you can trust. Someone who will support you and love you unconditionally, who will give their life for you. There will people who will do that for you and you might not ever know because you refuse to see it. Those are the people you should call family.

Then what do you have faith in?

...

... nothing.

Really? Nothing? Doesn't that make you feel sad..?

No. It keeps me from being hurt again.

But getting hurt is what makes us appreciate the better times in our lives. It takes something sad to understand the feeling of happiness.

You do know you won't always be hurt by having faith in something, right? Sometimes you get hurt but it's pain everyone has to come to accept and understand.

That would require me to have had a 'better time' in my life. Trust me, I didn't.

It isn't worth it.
