2008 Whoo hoo!
Yes! Happy New Year everyone! It's finally 2008 and lots of things are gonna happen for me soon!
1. Year 9
2.State/National competition in Melbourne
3. Music camp (if I get to go)
4. My two cousins from Malaysia living here for 2-3 months
Yeah... Year 9 will be a new experience for me, just like every year is. The state/national thingy, well that isn't certain yet either because I might not get into the state team, but if I do then yes, it is a national competition. Oh god. The music camp I'm surprisingly excited about; traveling to a nearly deserted town and spending 5 days in an old Catholic boarding school just gives me a thrill you know? Nah...not really looking forward to that, but I don't know, maybe it'll be fun.
And yes, my cousins are coming! Actually tomorrow! We're picking them up at the airport at 7pm; I can't wait to see how much they've changed. I really hope they like it here in Australia, and in our house, because dad and all of us have made a lot a alterations and clean-ups in the spare room for them, especially dad. He's installed shades, pin-up boards, new lights and everything in order for the two girls, and I think maybe he's gone a bit overboard. But I understand why he's doing this; he wants to impress. WE all do too.
And its so exciting because it'll be like having two more sisters, even though I'm not that close to them. But I have a feeling I'll get to know them much better after 2 months. Its me and Tse's job to teach them english, even though they are already quite fluent in it. But they're going to be studying in TAFE, and that requires more than just fluent. So, everything is gonna be great.
