So, nothing says "great entry" like photos, so here are some.
Isn't this package beautiful? This is from Hot Stuff, Cindy. Inside was a beautiful set of notecards, but this box was so pretty that I almost didn't want to open it!
This is me on one of the first days I was home... actually, I think it was my first night home... playing the piano. The Santa hat was my sister's idea.
Oh, and hey look, there she is! Yes, that's my sister. Isn't she cute?
My dad had a bunch of stuff to sell on eBay, so we set up a makeshift "photo studio" on the kitchen table so he could photograph the items. It was definitely the most work I've ever put into eBay photos. I'm holding the strobe flash in this photo. Yay!
And I know many of you in LJ-Land received great Christmas boxes, but you really had no idea what went into the making of those lovely gifts, so here's some behind-the-scenes shots.
Gingerbread.
These are called "spitzbuben" and they're Swiss. They looked kinda funny to me, but they tasted okay.
This is a Tupperware full of little heart cookies. On the day I sent the boxes out, I put these together in little sandwiches with raspberry jam in the middle. Yum!
Toffee handprints. They were supposed to be peppermint-chip handprints, but we were sadly out of peppermint chips. And they're called "handprints" because of their size, not their shape.

Here are all of the boxes in a big tub. This was how I took them to the post office. And yes, I did get the one post office worker who's always grumpy. Yay!
