i am against the death penalty because it solves nothing. it is commiting the crime that they are being punished for to begin with. it only enforces retribution and shows distrust towards the individual. i think that alternatives could work better.

you feel no remorse when dead, but i mean if you are confined in a cell for years and years i mean there is bound to be change. if you say that people are less likely to commit crimes if they know they wont die, there are worse things than dieing. People who serve a diff sentence will always live with the sign that says "i have killed someone" whereas if you are served the death penalty its just OVER. noone learns.

Plus people who are changed after serving sentence can go help prevent others from commiting crimes because of personal experience. you cant do that if you are killed from the death penalty.

so thats mah lecture! anywho now talk about they actual entry, im glad youre going to my quince art. its going to a be a lot more fun w/you there.

BTW IM still so jealous about the matchbook romance/tbs thing! my time will come though..eh i still have a lot of life to live

The justuce system in America is weak and deters no one from comitting crime, even more importantly, killing someone else. Our system is so soft, you can get three meals a day, an hour of relaxation, and a tv, and this is suppose to be punishment. When a person kills another person with oure hatred in his heart, he must be punished. We can no longer let those who murder innocent people and rape and molest children, stay free in our lax justice system. Those who argue that killing a murderer is letting him go easy and it is much harder to live everyday day of your life in jail. Well imagine this, how would fell everyday you countdown to your own death. That you will never live in the month of July again, that your final week has passes, and more importantly that your final day is upon you. This type of punishment is necessary to deter evil people out there from killing the innoncent and raping and molesting children. Our jail system is too lax and every since this country has been founded, corporal punishment has been an important tool to deter crime. One who kills, takes into account the consequences of his actions, and deserves die for his malicious crime of depriving the innocent from our basic liberty: LIFE!!!
