My mom got a DUI. (Number 652 or theres about) She has been sentenced to 3 months in a state mental hospital for rehab. Good luck to the rehab people who have to house my mom. Hopefully she won't punch, kick, or bite anyone.
Maybe this will be the time she gets well, but maybe this will be the time I get a million dollars.
She is back with her abusive husband/boyfriend; I really don't know which he is legally. She's planning to return to him when she leaves rehab so, back to her old ways.
I'm tempted to go to Colorado and emotionally punish her when she's in rehab and can't leave. A series of truly ugly letters or something. When I was twelve and busted for shop lifting, she wrote a letter to the judge saying how horrible I was. I'm tempted to do the same.
Dear Judge Hicksville,
I'm writing you today about my mother, Stupid McDumbasston. Since she was 13 she has been an alcoholic. She has been through numerous rehabilitation programs. In the last five years she has had her fingers nearly cut off by either herself or her boyfriend (depending on who's version, has driven drunk, the police refused to arrest her, punched me, her husband his tried to throw hot oil on my sister (her daughter also) while she watched, has drank herself silly and abused everyone around her and allowed herself to be abused.
What on god's green earth makes you think things will be different? Please put her in jail forever so at least we know she isn't with Jim and we know she won't be driving drunk into anyone. I don't want to have to pay for the funeral and carry the guilt of someone she's killed because you are too soft to throw the book at her.
