Crafty updates - Picture Fat (sorry)
Here's a batch of crafty things I've been working on for various reasons. (Like two swaps on Craftster and for eventual inclusion on my own site as well.)
For PhoenixFire Designs
I made a couple more Tree of Life pendants based on the feedback I received on my first one posted. I tried it copper and silver and copper/copper. Both use Serpentine Jade as the leaves. I'll probably offer these for sale at some point. Let me know if you're interested. Most people seem to sell them for around $40 (and up) but that seems way too much, so I'm thinking like $25-$30. I don't know yet. Feedback appreciated.
For the "Name" swap
I made this cute name plate from Scrabble tiles and rack. I then added little accents like handmade miniature balls of yarn, needles, glass beads, a tea cup and more. I'm quite pleased with how it came out!
For "Giant Multi-Theme Swap"
I made my first floral headband/garland. One of her themes is "Fairies" so I thought what fairy wouldn't like to wear pretty flowers? I was happy at how nicely it came out for a first try.
And I'm still not really happy with this but I thought I'd update. This is for the same swap. Another of her themes is "cherry blossoms" and I had used fabric paint and painted the bag. But I wasn't happy with it and everyone agreed there was too much empty space in the corner so I cut out petals from fabric and glued them down with fabric paint. I then painted the fabric to match the flowers (because the glue had made the fabric a little ugly) and added a button to the center of the flower. I still don't really like it but I don't know... I've put a lot of work into it. So I'm not sure I want to send it but...I really don't want to do it a second time.
