This and That
Ok, so let's get right into the playing catch-up stuff...

PMLE - On the sun allergy front, things still aren't better. We're two weeks into my rash this time around. Far longer than any previous reaction in the past. I think it was re-aggravated by being outdoors again on Saturday. *sighs*

Last night, I did a video on the subject and tried to show off what it looks like for those interested. It doesn't really show it well, but, it's at least some concept. (It's much redder and much bumpier in person.) I also talk about how it bothers me and how "gross" it makes me feel. Publishing the video was one part education and one part trying to come to terms with the fact having the rash bothers me so much. I mean, if you put it out there for the whole world to see, you kinda have to deal with it a little more, you know?

BARF - Ok, I'm sure you were trying to figure out what I was talking about last night. Well, "BARF" stands for Bay Area Renaissance Festival. We went on Saturday thanks to comp tickets from one of Love's co-workers. Love's brother and my friend kwsapphire were supposed to also tag along with us, but...life had other plans and neither of them ended up being able to make it. We hope to make it one more time before the Festival is over and have them both come along then. We'll see how it goes.

Unfortunately, despite bringing my parasol so I could stay mostly in shade on Saturday, I think the outdoor time and sun exposure made my not-yet-healed PMLE rash worse because it came back with renewed vigor. It was horrible yesterday and was itching something fierce.

I took some video clips at the Festival, so I need to edit them into a cohesive video. That'll probably be up in a few days. Overall though, a nice day was had despite being quite toasty and that it wound up just being Love, myself and our friend Rand. I also got to literally touch an owl which totally just made my entire day.

Her name was "Wiz" (short for Wizard) and she's about two years old. I'd never gotten to get so close to one before, let alone touch an owl! I love owls. They're my absolute favorite birds. I never realized how LARGE their feet are. And her talons were so thick and hard. It was really fascinating. We must have spent like 30 minutes or more just standing, talking to them and watching her. They even flew her for me. Just amazingly beautiful.

Craftiness - Um...oh yeah, my "All Things Disney Swap" for Craftster arrived today. So my partner said she liked what I sent. I hope so because I was nervous and I worked hard on it. (You can see all of what I sent here along with close-ups as well.)

I'm trying to finish up the "Decorate My Home" swap to get it out this week (I made her a Utensil Wind Chime as the big item) and then I've got a "One Tiny Thing" swap to do (one item only, no larger than 4x4) and, I'm doing a large, long-term one called, "The Giant, Multi-Theme Swap" that doesn't have to ship until June. So I've been doing a lot of stuff away from the computer lately, crafting and trying out new types of projects.

In fact, you can see some of the clay miniatures I was experimenting with for the first time the other night. (I've never tried making clay food, OR 1-UP mushroom, so this was all a test for my One Tiny Thing swap.)

Cute, eh? I'm going try to refine them a little and make a second batch of food. Still, I think they came out pretty good for a first try.

The End - Ok, this is waaaaaaaay long enough at this point. So here I shall close. The Ren Faire video will show up in the next few days. I'll post when it's live. And I'll let everyone know when and if my skin ever calms down. (Hopefully soon!) For now, I've got some stuff to do and I...am...outta here!

TTFN.
