Weekend Ways
Yesterday, Love, our friend Rand and I decided to hop over to Orlando. They had a big art show called "Festival of the Masters" going on at Downtown Disney and we decided to check it out. On the way there, I was able to hook up briefly with a friend from LJ, foxmagic. He had been so kind as to pick up a now-discontinued Happiest Celebration on Earth edition Pal Mickey for me. He's wearing a little tux and had updated content from the original one I got back in 2004. I wanted to buy a Pirate outfit
they have for him, but I looked all over Downtown Disney and they were sold out.
We headed over to Magic Kingdom in the evening and couldn't find it there either. Apparently, it's been hard to keep it in stock. (The other new outfit, Santa, was everywhere but I just felt it's still too early for him to be in Holiday gear. Maybe towards December I'll get that outfit.) Bummer!
Anyway, we stayed and watched Wishes, rode Pirates, Haunted Mansion and Carousel of Progress before heading home. It was a nice day and the weather was good. Today we need to run some errands - poor girls are out of food and reminding loudly us they don't just want dry kibble! - so I better get ready.
