This And That This Week
Monday - my mom came by and picked me up. We met up with my sister and her friend (who's the Maid of Honor - MoH for short in this entry - in my sister's wedding.) Hit Red Lobster (mom's choice) for lunch. I really am not a seafood person (er, ok, at all) so I had some chicken strips. I tried a bite of my sister's crab meat though to be daring. Bleck! It tasted to me like slimey, sort-of spoiled chicken.
So, I guess I can officially say that now I do not even remotely like crab.

Afterwards, we went on a shoe-hunt. Needed to get shoes for MoH and I to match our dresses. Things went...not so well. First pair we found was an absolute perfect match. But...we couldn't get the MoH's size. Problem is that we're trying to match this pewter-ish color on the trim of the dresses. Something without a 4" heel. And everything we found was bright, gaudy silver or, if it was close to the right shade, was ankle-breaking high. Sorry but I don't believe in high heels of death. So, no shoes. On the upside, as we were leaving the mall, we discovered quite by accident that Macy's was having a bridal info set up and my sister made some much-needed contact with several services.

Tuesday - I borrowed my friend Rand's car and took a birthday cake up to my mom. She was really tired from Monday and didn't want to come down as originally planned. I knew she needed a cake though, so I took it to her. We hung out all afternoon.

Love, who is an absolute sweetheart, took the afternoon off and came home on Tuesday so we could spend the day together. Sadly, I was with my mom. He had forgotten it was her birthday. What a shame, hu? I would have loved to have him arrive home any day of the week to get me out of the apartment and just spend some time together. Utterly stinks I wasn't there. The upside is my mom loved her cake and had a nice day. It was two weeks to the day since she had to put Soc to sleep, so originally, she wasn't going to do anything but spend the day alone. I wasn't about to let that happen. It was important to me that she have a nice day. And she said she did. Which was good.

Wednesday - Woke up feeling pretty tired and fatigued. Figured it was from running around all day Monday and Tuesday. But come the afternoon, my stomach decided to absolutely revolt. Huuuuge IBS flare-up. Gods. Miserable all day long. So I went from feeling ok if a little tired to down-and-out, utterly and completely ill. So bad. Lots of pepto, imodium and rolaids later, it's slightly calmed down though I certainly don't feel well by any stretch of the imagination. Did manage to eat some Cream of Wheat for dinner (nice, easy, comfort food for me) and keep it down, so that's good. Of course, for whatever reason, everytime I get a massive stomach attack like this, it freakin' always also leads to me getting a headache-bordering into migraine. So ontop of everything else, I had to take some Excedrin which, you know, is the best thing to take when you're stomach is upset.

Which brings us to the entry. Realized I hadn't really written one yet of any significant content this week, so I wanted to get something out. I've been away from the pc a lot this week so far with the actual things-to-do. And the time I've spent at the pc has been working on a secret project for the swap community, Full Moon Swaps I belong to. I've been using my mad *coughs* design skills to help the owner of the community out on a special project. Between those two things, I've just not had a lot of time to get around to an entry.

So that's the week thus far. Thrilling and exciting as always. Hopefully, my stomach will have settled down by tomorrow and I can go back to feeling slightly closer to human. Either way, my big plans for the day include sleeping in as long as I damned well please. I was going to nap this afternoon, but with the IBS flare-up, I wasn't able to which only added to the fatigue and tired issue. Relaxing and resting are high on my to-do list.

Alright, that's it from the peanut gallery for now.
