War is inevitable at this point.
The Beast Kingdom would have made a great mistake if it had sanctioned this attack. Being caught between two enemies isn't a wise way to wage war, even if it must be done.
This is all connected. The Beast King's murder was almost certainly not the fault of Tasnica, and I can't imagine necromancy is taught in the Beast Kingdom. What's next? Will Pandora and Tasnica find a reason to fight each other now?
I just can't figure out how Altena is connected to this. Nothing happens independently of itself, it's all linked. What reason would whoever is starting this war have to either send or lure the Altenans from their city, then destroy the city itself, leaving its citizens alive?
Two days after Mr. Levante wrote about what had happened, Cerise told the Altenans that Rolante was going to rescue them. How did the Queen of Rolante learn of Altena so soon after it happened? Did no one notice that but me? When it happened, I was just glad that they would be getting much-needed assistance. Now, though, it is odd. A possible clue, too.
Januz was looking for Father Gourmand, who said he had to leave on unspecified business when most of Altena's citizens disappeared. Januz traveled from Ishe to Wendel in little time at all. How did he manage that? A clown was seen riding a dragon, which destroyed the city. Father Gourmand has been gone for some time and I don't believe he has returned yet. What has he been doing?
These people can raise the dead. They can create an oasis in the snowfields. They can assassinate country leaders without being seen. They can catch trained ninja offguard and murder them. They have enormous dragons on their side. Who knows what else they are capable of?
This is all connected. There has to be something that binds these events together. If only I could see what.
