Jonghyun sat behind the steering wheelgripping it so hard his knuckles were already white. They were stuck in a traffic jam and only moved in a walking pace. Since they got into the car they haven’t spoken a word due to the fact that Onew had confronted Jonghyun with the fact that he knew about his affair. After that he didn’t grant him another glance or syllable. That was 30 minutes ago. Slowly but surely Onew got sad and angry.
Angry at Jonghyun, because he was doing this to him and sad about their situation, because he didn’t know if he wanted a relationship with a guy who didn’t love him anymore. In the old days, 3 years ago, they had something special. Onew was someone special for Jonghyun, but there was no love anymore, Onew was no longer something he had to fight for. Now there was this new guy, Onew knew that, but instead of saying something or breaking up with him Jonghyun chose to cheat on him and - in this way - deeply hurt him. He felt like crying, like opening the car door and run. Run away and forget about the pain he was feeling, but the heavy rain outside imprisoned him. Bound to stay next to the person who hurt him so much he could scream. Another 15 minutes later and Jonghyun still hadn’t said a thing, letting Onew go crazy over the silence.
He had gone through every possible option they may have, pretend like nothing happened and … and let Jonghyun do his thing, break up with him and go separate ways, force him to end this affair and stay with him or somehow solve this problem in a way that wouldn’t hurt Onew, because every option he had played though his head ended with him being hurt and Jonghyun happy with the other guy. They were bound by the laws of the same routine with no adventure of the new and the challenge of the taking anymore.
Onew once loved Jonghyun more than his life but right now he hated that part right there the most.
